MY TOURING AREAS IN WINTER

The Brandnertal offers ideal conditions for winter hiking and snowshoeing – from easy tours for beginners and families on the sunny Tschengla to quiet trails in the Schattenlagant, where the snow often lingers well into spring. Those seeking peace and unspoiled nature will find it here, as will sun worshippers. A particularly special experience is the night tobogganing safari: a combination of winter hiking and tobogganing – an adventure under the starry sky.

The Klostertal is one of the most water-rich valleys in the Alps – a guarantee for natural snow, especially at higher elevations. The Sonnenkopf cable car takes you comfortably up to almost 2,000 meters , where one of the most beautiful winter and snowshoe tours begins: the summit tour to the Muttjöchle. Whether on the groomed winter hiking trail or off-trail with snowshoes, the summit is easily accessible even for beginners.

The Montafon region offers a diverse range of experiences in winter. Sunny Bartholomäberg often has little snow – perfect for scenic hikes, even in the colder months. Further up the valley, around the Lindauer hut , a completely different world unfolds: partly groomed winter trails, partly snow-covered landscapes best explored with snowshoes. This ensures that both leisurely hikers and snow enthusiasts will find their ideal experience.

In Bludenz and the Walgau region there are numerous hikes close to the valley floor, which are often possible in winter even without much contact with snow.
From Muttersberg , there is an impressive view of Rätikon and Silvretta – and many of the paths are almost snow-free even in winter.

The side valleys of the Walgau, on the other hand, offer wonderful tours in deep snow . Snowshoeing in Laterns , in particular, is an ideal opportunity to try out the sport in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the snowy landscape.
